ARCHIE M. ZAVITZ, (Foreign Decoration)280675, sergeant, Company I, 126th Infantry. For extraordinary heroism in action near Romagne, France, October 9, 1918. Facing heavy fire, he crawled 75 yards in advance of the platoon he commanded and reduced a machine-gun nest with rifle grenades. Residence at enlistment: R.F.D. No. 1, Fruitport
